Dog friendly holidays at Rowling End & The Mouse House

Rowling End and the Mouse House are dog friendly and well  behaved dogs are welcome. There is a big garden and numerous walks from Rowling End whether you are looking to explore the high fells, Derwentwater or the valley, a chance to have a break from your car too!

We look forward to welcoming you and your dog to Rowling End and the Mouse House.

Please provide details of the well behaved dog(s) coming with you and ensure that they have a collar and tag bearing your (the owner’s) name and address.

Please remember to bring dog beds, bowls and towels as these are not provided. The garden at Rowling End and the Mouse House is large and is fenced, however it may not be secure for your dog!  To the rear of the main house leading from the boot room, there is a secure  dog run for tearaways.

The fields that surround the house will often have sheep in so you will be expected to keep your dog under control and ensure that they don’t bother the farm animals or wildlife. You are welcome to walk your dog in the fields surrounding the house and along the stream but be aware that it can be muddy!

Please do not let your dog on the furniture or leave your dog alone in the house all day. We can provide you with a stairgate to prevent your dog going upstairs. In  addition please can you make sure that your dog has been treated with a suitable flea treatment before you arrive. Can you also remember to clean up after your dog in the garden so as not to leave landmines for the next visitors.

Should your dog have any problems during the holiday, the nearest vet is in Keswick – Millcroft Vetinary Group www.millcroftvets.co.uk
